This splint is designed to support the thumb in a neutral position between palmar and radial abduction for conditions such as arthritis, neurological impairment, brain injury, stroke, or cerebral palsy. Made of lightweight and durable Kydex plastic, the splint is heat moldable at a low temperature to accommodate individual patients’ needs. Joint alignment is maintained while contractures are prevented and muscular spasticity is reduced, allowing for increased range of motion. Breathable, wicking liners ensure that potential pressure points are eliminated and skin remains dry and comfortable.
