The Auerbach Mallet Splint is a medical device designed to treat mallet finger. It is a rigid splint that is worn on the finger to keep the distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) in an extended position. This allows the terminal extensor tendon to heal properly. The splint is made from malleable aluminum, so it can be adjusted to fit the individual finger. The underside of the splint is made from nylon, which helps to prevent it from slipping. The splint has a hook & loop closure, which makes it easy to put on and take off. The splint is latex-free.
