ColoCARE is an easy-to-use, throw-in-the-bowl fecal occult blood test, detecting pre-symptomatic bleeding from GI diseases. No stool handling required; it’s clean, disposble, easy for elderly patients to interpret, and has no false positive rate. More cost-effective than guaiac slide tests: no chemical developers, no lab processing, no biohazards. Test pad contains biodegradable paper, chromogen, and three reaction sites. If blood present, hemoglobin reacts with chromogen to produce blue/green color.
