Novafil monofilament sutures are composed of polybutester, an engineered copolymer of butylene terephthalate and polytetramethylene ether glycol. This specialized suture offers impressive features, like suppleness for ease of handling, a unique elasticity and flexibility, superior knot security, reduced tissue drag, and robust resistance to fraying, creep, and structural fatigue. Because of its components, these sutures are not indicated for patients with known sensitivities or allergies.
