The Polycentric Hinged Ulnar Deviation Splint restores the alignment of the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joint, managing ulnar deviation with gentle to moderate force. The splint is dorsal based, leaving the palm unobstructed for grasping and pinching, while the hinge allows for full flexion and extension for improved dexterity in performing daily tasks.
Finger pieces are adjustable to promote accurate alignment of the MP joints, as well as to ease putting on and taking off the splint. The Polycentric Splint is suggested for ulnar deviation conditions that can be rectified with gentle to moderate pressure.
