The XTRASORB® Classic Dressing is specifically designed for heavily exuding wounds. Made with a lower tensile strength gelling super absorbent polymer pad, it quickly transforms into a gel upon contact with fluid. The dressing’s flat edges conform easily to healthy skin, simplifying the application process. The non-adhesive layer prevents sticking to the wound bed, while the super absorbent polymers in the core efficiently soak up large amounts of exudate. This transformed gel effectively binds and locks away exudate from the wound. Additionally, the distribution layer evenly disperses exudate throughout the dressing for maximum absorption by the absorbent layer.
