The Safe-T-Mate Wheelchair Anti-Rollback Device is designed to prevent a wheelchair from rolling back and away from the user as they attempt to sit down or stand up from the wheelchair. When the patient is seated, the Safe-T-Mate is in standby mode allowing for the chair to move freely in all directions. With adjustable spring tension, the advanced brake system can accommodate a variety of seat cushions used with hemi or low chairs, dual-axle or triple-axle chairs, bariatric chairs, or chairs that have flip-back armrests.
